Castle Macabre celebrates 7 years! #blogiversary #giveaway

Seven frightening years of (mostly) horror! Wow! I know this sister blog of True Book Addict is not quite as prolific, but it is no less dear to my heart. I've discovered some great horror authors since starting this blog and I'm looking forward to discovering more...and continuing on with more from my favorites. You know who you are!

In recognition of seven awesome years of scary, and to thank you for your friendship and loyalty, I'm hosting a little giveaway. I'm giving you a chance at winning any horror book (Kindle format) on Amazon (under $5). Looking for recommendations? Click that Book Reviews tab in the menu at the top. I've read some really good ones, especially in the last year. All you have to do is leave me a comment telling me a horror book you've read that you could not put down. Don't forget to leave your email address so I can contact the winner. (Anyone who does not leave an email address will not be entered. If you're afraid of a bot stealing it, enter it like so: truebookaddict AT gmail DOT com) This giveaway will end on September 15th at 12 midnight central time.

Good luck...and thanks for sharing the horror!

  1. Happy Birthday! I'm looking forward to carving out some time this fall for readathon goodness. :)

Anything by Glen Hirshberg is current go-to horror recommendation. His short stories are chilling and his vampire trilogy-in-progress is unlike any vamp fiction I've read.

  2. Happy 7th Blogversary!

Neidermayer & Hart by M J Johnson. I read it awhile back and it has stayed with me. The author does a creepy reading from it on YouTube.

I am so excited that it is almost time for Frightfall! I really do look forward to this readathon. I collect books just for it all through the year.

  4. Hi. Nice website by the way. Am in process of trying to develop my own.
My name is CM Davis and am trying to build an audience for horror genre, and was wondering if you would be willing to read my first story and provide briefly your opinion of the material?
Thanks for your consideration, CM. cmdavisbooks@gmail.com

  5. Happy 7th Blogoversary! I pretty much love anything by Dan Koontz, although I think Breathless was a little lame and didn't sound like Koontz at all!

My absolute favourite that is unputdownable is The Exorcist by William Peter Blatty. Go for the 40th Anniversary Edition in audiobook format, read by the author. It will freak you out!!

A newer series that I'm really enjoying is The Hatching by Ezekiel Boone. I read the first book in the series, The Hatching, earlier this year. I just finished Skitter last night. If you are at all squeamish about spiders, you'll have the heebie-jeebies!

Thanks for the giveaway! You know where to find me :)
