Season of the Witch...coming this October

My first annual month long October event, Season of the Witch! I hope you will join me for some scary fun this Halloween season.

GUEST POSTS/PROMOS/
GIVEAWAYS

Of course, we all know that the focus of Castle Macabre is always the scary (and the speculative), but in October, I'm hoping to have some scary almost every day.  For instance, during Banned Books Week, I will be reading and reviewing American Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis.  I'm also seeking guest posts from authors and bloggers alike.  Authors, if you would like to promote your book with a guest post, spotlight, and/or giveaway, this would be the place.  The topic does not have to be witch related (I'll get to the witchy part in a moment), but if it is, that's great! Please email me at truebookaddictATgmailDOTcom, if you are interested in participating.

MINI-READING "CHALLENGE"

The other part of Season of the Witch is that I'm challenging myself to read as many witch-related books (from my shelves) in October as I can and I'm challenging you as well.  Let's call it a Witchy Mini-Reading "Challenge."  If you think you're up for the challenge, sign up in the linky below.

I would love for you to join me.  Please grab the button at the top of the post and please spread the word.  Thanks!

  1. Hummm....I don't know how many books that I have to read include witches, but I will try to find some ;)

  2. I pulled out some Wilkie Collins (no witches, but spooky), Witches and Warlocks, and Instruments of Darkness by James Sharpe. I might end up rereading some Sookie :) I don't typically read Stephen King or that genre. If anyone has additional suggestions, I'd love to see what you are reading. I'm always looking for new books to read.

  3. Who can resist another challenge? I didn't realize how many "witchy" books that I had on my shelves until I started to make a list! I'll try to squeeze in at least one witchy book next month!

  8. I read The Unfailing Light by Robin Bridges, she is a powerful necromancer but the story is jammed with witches that are blood sucking moths by night. Also they have a order of the dead which have green skin. Alot of witchy going on in this book. Head over to my blog October 2nd for a chance to win The Unfailing Light. I love this challenge I would love to do a post on witches before I became LDS I was wiccan so I guess you could say I come from a long line of wacky witches LOL Love the button posting tonight!!! Can't wait for Halloween!!!
