Doctor Sleep Read-Along - Week Five #SomethingWickedFall

A day behind again. Story of my life!

Things are moving very fast now! The True Knot now have an even more urgent reason to get Abra. They're dying...because of something they were exposed to when they took "Baseball Boy's" steam. It's spreading among them. Grampa Flick is the first to go, and boy, oh boy...that cycling. I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy. Well...they really deserve it. Am I wrong? Pure evil.

Dan and John are forced to tell Abra's dad what's going on after they find and bring back the baseball glove. I found myself squirming when Dave was suspecting Dan of liking his daughter for "those reasons." I guess any dad would think that, or any parent for that matter. The plan they came up with to outsmart the True was pretty amazing, but Dan is right about Abra. She has the over confidence of a child, and that was the downfall of the plan.

More cycling when three more True were killed and I felt kind of sorry for Snakebite Andi (for a second) because I can just about imagine what she went through to make her what she was before the True found her. Of course, it's hard to feel sorry for someone who participated in what was done to "Baseball Boy," which is exactly what Dan was thinking.

Heading into the next section, I'm thinking Abra is not in a good situation at all.

More next week...
