Welcome to Castle Macabre. I created this blog for reviewing one of my other favorite genres...horror. The focus of The True Book Addict is steadily transitioning toward historical fiction and the horror genre does not quite fit. While I feel literary fiction and even fantasy still have a place there, I think horror is a unique genre that warrants its own blog. I also realized that many of the readers of The True Book Addict may not be keen on horror. Plus, I wanted a place that I can occasionally discuss the horror films I see. Horror films are actually my favorite movies to watch. I just love having the ---- scared out of me! However, the primary focus here will be books. I own an abundance of horror fiction and there are exciting new titles released every day so I know there won't be a lack of material. Plus, Halloween is just around the corner and Carl's R.I.P. challenge starts in September so this might shape up to be a busy introduction for Castle Macabre!
Update: I'm planning a blog launch event and giveaway for September. Stay tuned for details. Authors/publicists/publishers interested in promoting your/a book during my event (giveaway, guest post, etc.) can contact me. View my review policy and contact information in the About/Contact tab listed at the top of the left sidebar.
Certain sections are still under construction so please bear with me. I hope you will visit often. I think this will be a fun place for horror lovers everywhere!

ReplyDeleteOkay, this is just a wicked cool idea. I love it, and I admire the stamina it must take to manage all these great blogs. I feel like I'm drowing sometimes, and I just have one. I will be back again, and again, and again.

Ryan--not sure if it's stamina...or just pure craziness!

What an awesome blog, Michelle! I was just thinking the other day that I want to read more freaky stuff. Although, I have to admit, Stephen King scares me a little too much. However, I LOVE Dracula (vamp stories in general, but not all) and ADORE Halloween so much. So, I will definitely be back to visit often! :)
